launch times, shift points
I'll answer this as if you're refering to a 5 speed, cuz that's what I have
On street tires, don't bother revving the motor. Just take off like you're taking off from a stop light, but a little more aggressive. Once you get rolling, then you can really start pushing the gas pedal down. You'll have to learn how much your tires can "hold" (meaning not spin), as adjust how fast you can push the gas down when leaving. If you spin the tires, you're pushing the pedal down too fast. Once you get into 2nd gear, you can pretty much give it to her. But again, it depends on your tires.
As for 60' times, I've seen other guys get 2.0's on street tires, but the best I've gotten is 2.122, and that was when the track was still warm. Once the sun goes down, 60' times usually go up, like in the 2.3's and 2.4's. When I start seeing those, I head for home [:'(]
As far as shift points, with my stock motor, I ran my best time shifting at 5000 rpm. Some guys go to 6000, but my times didn't improve when I went to 5500, so don't see the need to shift that high. Peak horsepower on stock motors is about 4200 rpm, so going much higher than that isn't helping anyways.

on street tires anything more than 1500 will lite them up so try 1500 and feather the cluch out this is a trial and error thing if car is close to stock than around 5200-5300 will net good results and shifting at 6k is just putting undo wear on the valve train
