Do these cars ever stop breaking?

Do these cars ever stop breaking?
I bought my car knowing that I would have to replace a bunch of stuff for a while to come. I'm just wondering whether anyone has been able to drive their cars for a while without having to repair it all the time. I have owned plenty of old bikes. And eventually, after dumping money into them, I would get to a point where everything was fixed. Is that going to happen with my car, or will it be a perpetual money pit?

I haven't really had much trouble from mine over the years. Even w/ all the modding. Sure, every now and then but that's to be expected. I bought my car it was only 2 years old. I have taken well care of it since then. Maybe that's part of your problem, the previous owner/s didn't.

Thanks fellas--and you may be on to something there, Quik. Well, most of the problems are just normal high mileage repairs, with the occasional freakish occurance, i.e. header breaking. I think the car was taken pretty good care of for the most part though. It's weird though...some folks say that they've only bought oil and gas for their cars, while others say that it's something else every month. Either way, thanks for the replies.

I havent had any issues with my cobra as of yet... aside from a 12 year old balljoint making a LOUD screeching noise, and the brake pads wearing out.... and the FACTORY cats clogging up after 140k miles. however i have a sneaking suspision that my steering shaft needs to be replaced. the car feels like it has play in the rag joint, as it will wander from side to side a little bit on the highway.

I bought mine with 109,000 on it. I changed:...........the transmission (holy shizz), the plugs, wires, steering shaft, tires (normal), calipers, vert roof. This does not include MODS so I am up to my armpits in it now but................man I feel really good when I get in the damm thing.
