Well, the exhaust could definetly have a big play in it. Are you sure its not a burnt coolant smell?

I also get this smell, I get it becuase my exhaust pipes are just loosly bolted on

Well thats probably it, not to mention if you run a little rich when you punch it with the exhaust dumped like that, its going to smell like gas. mine does the same thing with my dumps.

check ur fuel pressure still

check fuel presseuar and fuel injectors, when the injectors went bad on the other halves car it smelled of gas in the cabin... and for once it wasnt from me.
