Default Cant fill Gas tank

I have a 94 GT and after i got back from the dyno i suddenly cannot fill the tank past 1/4 full. It is the weirdest thing, it will actually stay right in the fuel neck and not go down after it gets to 1/4. I can see the gas right at the cap. I just changed the canister purge soloniod because that was not working, and i went right to the pump and it did the same thing. All i have is the vacume line coming from the manifold to the purge sol, then from there to the canistor, and there is a return line to the back from the canistor on the pass fender, then there is 2 lines coming out of the canistor that go into one vent along the pass frame rail, nothign seems to be plugged at all. The only thing i did was install a T-rex pump and remove all the vacume lines from the vacume sol, on the pass fender, but i did not see anything other then the EGR (which is gone) and the air pump crap (which is also gone). For some reason the tank is getting airlocked, because its def at 1/4 and not full but full in the neck. I put so much gas in it, that i seen it pouring out on the ground under the bumper, but not leaking from the fill area, somewhere underneath. This is terrible and i would appreciate it if anyone has some input on what to do. I tried to put the gas in slow and its all the same, just backs up in the next and sits there like its full.
Thanks alot
Tom

Well, are you sure it's not full and the gauge is reading incorrectly?

yes i am def sure the gauge is correct. I know because it used to go to full then we ran out on the dyno so we put 5 gallons in it. So it was a little less then 1/4, ever since then i cannot fill it up past 1/4.

Maybe try and fill it while it is running?

I'm guessing that your filler tube may have been pushed too far towards the bottom of the tank instead of the top of the tank. Have you checked that? If it's too far down and at the bottom it can cause problems.

and just to add: the above statement assumes that your filler tube isn't kinked or damaged in any way.

well i never really checked the filler tube at all. I know its not kinked but its so weird that it happened all of a sudden. I know that the canister purge sol. didnt work and i thought with the new one i would have fixed it. I didnt try it when its running yet, that might be a good idea. We will see, but now i dont really think its gonna fix it. It sucks cause the car EATS gas and i only get 1/4 tank.
