i have been looking for a 87-93 mustang for a few months. i found one with the following...

1990 Mustang LX
289ci(65),
302 heads,
hyd cam 284 294 dur., 474 498 lift,
Wiend intake,
600 Holley carb,
C4 w/shift kit,
373 gears,
pony headers,
4 core rad.,
pertronics ign kit.
Race shifter (original shifter incase you do not like the race shifter)

i was just looking for any opions...how you think this set up would work...how much hp would you guess, ect.

Kant answer your questions, but if you buy it you should not be surprised it you find engine problems from hard driving....

go for it man.. the 289 is a really great motor in my opinion. i had a 66 mustang coupe with a 289 and i could not kill that motor. it ould just run and run and run. that car was awsme.. all i did was threw on some headers and a full exhaust. 500cfm 4 barrel and a edlebrock intake and that car was quick. sure it wasnt the fastest around but it was still pretty quick for my first car... anyways.. thats just my opinion. i would say go for it. sounds like a nice platform to start with.
