I found a kit but im not sure what else i will need. http://www.mustangtuning.com/fopege4ra.html if i add the bearing kit to that, will i still need the install kit?? is there anything else i should buy with it?? Thanks for the help.

RE: Questions about gears
Yeah patience...wish i had it... lol. Hey PX have you had experience using motive gears?? Ive been told to just stick with ford racing, but i havent talked to anyone who has tried any other brands. They all say i have ford racing and ive never had a problem so Im thinking about just sticking with the sure bet and getting the ford gears but if there are people on here who have different brands id like to hear how they like them.

RE: Questions about gears
Although I have Ford Racing (as you know) I've heard good things about Motive as well. But like you said... I have yet to hear a complaint about F.R. gears... so why not pay a little extra for peace of mind?

RE: Questions about gears
Yea, I just got a set of Motive 3.90's. I would of went with Ford Racing but they do not make 3.90's. I called a whole boatload of places and actually two people told me that they wouldnt even install them because they werent FMS gears. They said that its rare but sometimes they have fitment issues with them and they dont want to be held responsible if something goes wrong. I would of been getting them installed tomorrow but Im saving my money cause Im going to go look at a 2007 G6 GT tonight

RE: Questions about gears
The only problem I had with either FRPP or Motive was with 4.30 ratio. I bought a Motive 4.30 and could not set it up that it didn't make noise. I have a Mark Williams pinion depth tool and I was dead on, still made noise and the tooth pattern was off. So I scraped it and bought a FRPP. Same thing! In FRPP defense it wasn't like a normal FRPP gear. They normally have a code on the back and not a depth to set the pinion to, this had a depth number. So I may have gotten ripped off when I bought it. I got rid of that 4.30 and went with a FRPP 4.10 and it went in perfect with no noise and had a great looking tooth pattern.
