yeah i think so, the 351 blocks are alooooot stronger than the 5.0 blocks, and 5.0 are good untill about 500ish horsepower

by the time i buy the kit $1600-2700, get a 351 block say $300-400, get it bored and stroked $600-700
that is all together= $2500-3800 CAD
if i but the short block kit= $3000-4200 CAD

atleast if i buy the short block kit i know i will have no problems with the block spliting if i do i will send it back on warranty.

Yep, its about the 500-550 area.

If it was 400-430ish, alot of people on here would be in alot of trouble.

The Windsors will and can handle that amount of power...if built correctly. If you can, try to get an early block...69-74. These have the most nickel content and a Little more beef in the main webbing area. Run some ARP main studs and a girdle with forged internals and you will be fine. Make sure you have some good breathing heads to go along with it.

nickel makes it stronger and not wiegh as much, i use to have a buick with a 455 stage 1 mostly nickel in the block so it was barely heaveir then a chevy 350 and stronger then a chevy 454..... if only they made cheap parts for it

Yea, them 455's are exspensive to build, everything is a little higher for them. But damn they're torque power houses. [:@]
