Default tranny nut size?

t5 manual tranny

what is the size of the nut that connects the rear trans mount to the double hump
cross member.

there are two studs, on the bottom of the rear trans mount that go into slotted holes in the double hump transmission rear cross member.

there are two nuts that fit on these studs. What size are they?

I think they are metric bec some Pr*ck put a 5/16 on there and got it stuck.

that's why out my tranny is listing about 20 degrees to the right.....

I cant remember the size but if its a new ford mount then it will be metic. I dont know about the aftermarket ones. Take a floor jack and place it under the tranny and take the mount out and go to a hardware store and find a nut to fit it.

I agree, its a metric thread.

nut size is M-10-1,50

I'm using grade 10 metric bolts (like grade 8 SAE)

Its a 15mm socket

what's the torque spec?

I'd tighten it as tight as you can get it... and use threadlocker.
