Default clutch problems

So I had a guy (that said he knew what he whas doing) put in a oem clutch and pro 5.0 in my 86 gt. It shifts so ****ing hard I can barely get it into 1st from a stop and 2nd is just as hard. It didn't seem bad at first but it seems to keep getting worse. Please help!

was the guy a shop? if so bring it back to him and tell him the problem, how much did he charge u?

well if he did it for free, i would take it to someone who knows what there doing, if you paid him have him either give you your $ back or fix it right!

Do you have an adjustable clutch cable? If you do try adjusting it, it sounds like your clutch isn't releasing. Is it hard to get it in reverse also? Did he replace your clutch fork, front bearing retainer, or the pivot ball?

Were is your clutch starting to grab when you release the pedal? It's right off the floor I would imagine. Look under the dash above the gas pedal and see if you have to pieces of white plastic that are meshing together or if there is an aluminum quadrant. If it's the aluminum quadrant, get under your car and remove the cover on the drivers side of the bell housing. Look at the cable and see if there are to 1/2" nuts. If there are thread them in a tighting direction a little, 2-3 revolutions until you can get it into gear and the clutch engages when your foots a little off the floor. If it's not adjustable you will need to get an adjustable cable and quadrant. I would ask the installer if he replaced any of that suff I mentioned before. If he didn't you may end up doing it over.
