Default 5.0 / 4.6

I have always wanted a 1994/1995 Mustang GT with the 5.0, but found a nice 1997 GT for what seems a great deal. From what I have heard the 1996 GT's had a few problems since it was the first year puttin the 4.6 in a Mustang. How reliable is a 4.6, and how is HP/Speed compared to the 94/95 GT's? Just let me know, I don't want to get myself into any trouble not goin with the wonderful Five-O!!!

96-98 4.6s had the crappy heads and intake. If you have your heart set on a 4.6, then go with a 99-04...

Yeah thats the thing, I had my heart set on the 94/95.. but I found a good deal. Can't you swap the heads and intake pretty easy with like Cobra parts?

Cobra parts should be a direct bolt-on.

Depends if you going to leave it stock or modify it. Stock vs. stock the 1997 is a quicker car then the 1994/95 which only had 215hp. But if you want to modify the car then the 5.0's are easier to work on and pick up power. If get the 1997 I don't think you will be disappointed and if you want to modify it then bolt up some PI heads.
