Will 86 tail lights fit on the 87-93 cars? If so, do they bolt on directly or do they require modifications?

 

Arent they the same as the 93 Cobra tialights? The ones with the yellow in them? If so, Im guessing that they will work.

 

I was thinking they were the same as the Cobras but wasn't 100% sure.

 

Yea, Im pretty sure because I think I remember looking in a magazine somewhere and they had a section for tailights and it say 84-86 & 93 Cobra Tail Lights.... or something like that.

I dont want to say for sure because Im not 100% positive but I think they will fit. Do you plan on buying them from a company? If so, I would just give them a call first and make sure that they will fit. And if you are buying them from someone or already have them just call a company that sells them and ask them anyway lol. I always do that.

 

Well, I was gonna check a few salvage yards first before I tried 5.0 resto. Thats why I wanted to make sure incase I found some at the salvage yard.

 

Just call 50resto and ask them. If they fit, than go to the junkyard and pick em up lol

yea i'm almost 99% positive they will interchange with no mods, and junk yard parts are the best deals, usually all they need is a good cleaning and maybe a bulb or two. Good looking mod!

your right primetime, the cobras were more like the svo taillights. had small grey or black lines running across the tail light i think.

83-84 had black trim, the 85-86 had gray trim, and the 84-86 SVO (later 93 Cobra) had the pin stripes
