i tried to chagne my oil today but i eneded up stripping the one bolt... i am not sure if its the pan or the bolt that is stripped.. the bolt has not come out... it just continually turns... anyone know of how to fix this? i need this car for tommorrow and unless i find a way to do it myself i have to take it to ford in the morning.... and i know they will rip me off to fix it.

you could try to get a flat head screw driver behind it a pry in the drain bolt as you un screw it then get a thread chaser and chase the threads and install a new drain bolt . If that dont work better order a oil pan

there is more than 1 drain plug u know

and try getting something under the bolt and try threading it out yourself

u dont need a new pan on my friends car his pan bolt was stripped and he brought it to a local shop and they pried it out in a matter of 20 seconds

IF YOU EVER COME TO MY STORE AND TRY TO PULL THAT ****.... ILL KILL YOU ON THE SPOT.

i hate when people come into my jiffy lube and try to blame their ****ed up car on me.

One dude came in and said that we let his car leave with no oil filter. I just looked at him and said. "Listen buddy, I'm under that car when it leaves, If it didnt have an oil filter... id be covered in oil. Stop bull****ting me and get the **** out!"

well if you get it out, I would buy a self-tapping oversized plug. Once you get the new plug tapped pour some of your used oil back in the motor to try and wash out any shavings. Then just clean the threads out and you should be ok. Maybe until your next oil change use an oil filter magnet.
