Default GT40P Heads problem with plug wire boots

Having trouble with burning my plug wire boots on cylinder 5 and 6 on my 5.0. The heads I have is GT40P Cast iron heads. The headers I have on are BBK Longtube. I have just bought and installed Trick Flow 10mm Plug wires with 45 degree boots and it didn't look like it was going to hold up but I wasn't sure. I also put the fiberglass boot heat protectors on. It burn't the boot and was jumping spark after about 10 miles. I would like to save my plug wires and try to buy smaller 90 degree boots and connectors for those two cylinders and redo the ends to make them work. I haven't had a chance to look into that option yet. Any one know where. I can find those? Anyone else have any suggestions?

You can get just the plug wire ends and boots from NAPA, have them go thru their Belden book.
