Can't get spark or make it start
I recently bought a 92 LX,, its got a lot of miles on it, but it was running fine when i bought it. I was recently driving home from a friends,,, i was in a bit of traffic and it was hot out. The car just cut out on me. Had to have it towed home. I have replaced, Ignition coil module, ignition coil, cap and rotor. the engine turns over, I can hear the fuel pump prime, and it has a half a tank of gas. I AM WONDERING if there are any tricky things to look for, certain fuse or fuseable link to check ...... I am hoping its something obvious that i am just missing. and not the computer or something serious.

yes , the car turns over,, i have a haynes manual , and have tried to trace all of the wiring that it shows,, i can't seem to find anything out of sorts,,,, i am thinking it is what controls the Ignition coil,,, i have a brand new ignition coil in,, when i turn the car to on i read 11.2 volts at one tab and about 1.3 volts at the other tab on the connector that connects to the ignition coil,,, no spark from the coil... soooo i was thinking next was the ICM,, maybe it died when i was sitting in traffic or something,,, one thing i have changed is the distributor or its insides,,, i was hoping maybe some of you 5.0 veterans would know a trick to this something easy.... i am sooo stuck,, plus someone broke into the car to steal about 30 bucks in tools bastards!!!!!

one thing that i couldn't seem to locate was the IGN SUP. RES,, it is listed in the haynes Engine controls diagram, in line with the TAN/YEL wiring, I also noticed a FUSE LINK N that T's off from the RED/LT GRN wire between the ICM and iGN COIL

had you noticed any slight grinding or squealing in the past few days before?
If you look in the distributer, does the rotor button turn?
Does it crank over noticably faster than usual?

pick up coil is on the distro right? it that a simple replace? also,, would the pick up coil keep the igntion coil from sparking? arrgh,, i have an early early day tommrow so i am going head offline,, i am loving this forum already,,, my first car ever was a 88 lx 5.0 i sold it when i joined the military,,, finally bought myself another LX and it won't run, driving me nuts,, plus my father in law is here from australia and i can't even take him for a ride a real american muscle car!!!!
