Its supposed to give you better gas mileage and free up more hp, much like underdrive pullies do, by reducing the parasidic draw (not having to turn the fan). Same idea behind elect. water pump also.

Well it very well may be able to flow that much. I'm just going off of what your link says, I don't have any prior experience from those fans. I just find it odd that you would be able to get a high flowing fan from a total granny car that has no need for that much flow, ya know? Especially one that flows more than a top notch aftermarket unit.

yeah, not to mention the weight... my damn stock clutch fan was pretty heavy.
I've been told electic water pumps arent a good idea for daily drivers, but that might be someone talking out their ****...

I made a 94 Caravan fan work, but it wasn't exactly plug and play though. However, I only paid $25 clams for it, so the afternoons effort was well worth it. My car never ran this cool.
Bottom line, if you can get a fan that really huffs, and has a shroud that will cover most of your radiator, you'll do well.
