Default Fuel pump questions

Few questions I have:

First off I think it is going to be time to install a new fuel pump due to the fact that I think mine is going out. I have sluggish acceleration and don't know if it is the filter or pump. Im changing the filter today so I can eliminate the possibilites. I am going to switch to a BBK pump and was going to go for the 255lph pump. Yes my car is stock but am going to mod it later so start off with a good foundation right? Or is this bad for my stock components. The price of the pump doesn't bother me either.

Also when I hook up my new pump I want to add an electronic fuel pressure guage and was wondering how do I add one to my stang. What is needed?

Last question: For one person and just jack stands how long would you guess the swap will take?

Thanks

Get a Walbro.............BBK packages them and jacks up the price.........

ORIGINAL: FullAuto

A Walbro 255lph high pressure pump is $95 from Dave @ JDs Performance (www.jdsperformance.com). A Kirban regulator is $69 there too. I'd buy the Kirban over the BBK.
I'd buy there.......

Get an electric fuel pressure gauge from Autometer. They're about 200 bucks though. I have one and like it.

How does it hook up though? Is there a **** on my fuel rail that I just plug it into or do I have to get a regulator? I have no clue how they hook up. Never had that type of guage before.

The sending unit screws onto the schrader valve on your fuel line. Mount the gauge and connect the wiring, all done.

+1 on the gauge recommendation and the FP. I have a Walbro and it works fine.

Are you going SC anytime soon? I did mine when I installed the SC.

Would like too. But I think im going to give it the bottle first.

Just replaced the filter too and it didn't help...a little it did but not like I wanted.

Guess Im going with a new Fuel pump soon

Would that size of pump cause problems to a stock system? Would it create too much pressure behind the line and give me more pressure than I want?
