84 5.0 engine stalled up
the car has been sitting for awhile....... the other problem is trying to find a serpertine belt bc there is no a/c and dont have bracket to go where the ac was....... we tried to turn the engine manually but didnt want to break the bolt... we want to try to take out the dist. and put a drill to it to get the oil pump trying atleast.... wut other ways to get it to turn over or get the oil completely through the engine?

how long ha sit been sitting some light ruts might be on the cylinder walls . You could spray a little bit of pb or wd40 in each cylinder threw te spark plug holes let ti sit then try to turn it over witha breaker bar and a socket on the crankbolt. For the belt i would just got youlocal auto part store and ask for a belt your your car with motor without AC they should have one or follow the belt routhing with some string the messure the string and see how much it took to make both endes of the string touch

to pony guy: we're in new jersey also
and the belt is between 82.5 and 84.5 but he prefers to have a bracket from like an a/c eliminator kit or something like that so it would go where the ac was. and we already tried autozone and advance auto and pepboys for the belt. they just have the belt for having the a/c there not removed.

RE: 84 5.0 engine stalled up
we had to use an extra dist we had found lying around and we took off the gear and the top cover and manually twisted it for awhile until we got the drill charged up and then it was really quick.... but when we twisted the top counterclockwise u could feel the oil pump resisting so there is oil pressure.... we tried again to put a socket on the crank bolt to turn over the engine and its there really extremely tight now.... we're going to have to take it apart i guess to see maybe it the crank it too torqued or something like that... oh about the starter it ISNT stuck in between the flywheel so thats not the problem right now.
