Default Stock 302 withstand 6500rpms?

Quick question. Can a completely stock block 302 withstand 6500rpms with H/C/I and upgraded valvetrain?

i think so yes
the "airflowresearch" heads and cammed up 5.0 did 6600 at 432 hp
stock crank and piston and rods...

what mostly limits rpm is your valvetrain, cam, valvesprings, pushrods, lifters, and rockers.

but if you want to rev really high I recommend getting everything balanced and it will last longer.

your stock rev-limiter is set at 6250rpm, so you will need a chip or some type of aftermarket tuner to raise it.

Wow I shift mine at 6400 RPM all the time....but I have a T-5.

I really don't see why they couldn't go somewhat higher than that with a blueprinted type short-block and a real C.S. balance job.
All the parts would have to be 'just right' too........
I'm talking about 7000+.....
