It could have fouled a plug. I went over the vac lines and plugs pretty good. what would cause it to smoke so bad ya think?

If you fouled a plug its going to sprew gas in the cylinder and cause it to burn out the pipes. try a nice tune up and hope it fixes ur prob, clean the Maf and EGR

^ i'd do as suggested above with resetting the computer, clean MAF, TB, IAC, pull plugs and wires and check for lean/rich, check the rotor cap contacts, clean all the contacts on the starter, solenoid, battery real good, pull codes
