RE: few questions
maybe your tranny is screwed up and used to make a noise but someone stuck saw dust into your tranny and made the sound stop. just joking lol, but i've heard about the saw dust part, not sure if it really works or not but my granddad used to do it when he was getting rid of a car. but good luck on finding out!

RE: few questions
ok well now it's surging 90% of the time. hot, cold, wet, dry doesn't matter it'll do it. i checked for vacuum leaks and there's none. could it be cap and rotor? or just plugs gapped wrong? I'm going to change all that this week but I'd like somemore help just incase it's not that. btw O2 sensors, and egr, havn't been hooked up since I bought her.

RE: few questions
do a full tune up.. plugs, wires, cap, rotor, fuel filter... i had surging alot then did pugs and wires and it went away.. felt like a brand new car afterwards.. plus.. if you just bought it.. then it's a good idea to do a full tune up anyways cause you never know when it was last done. jusy my opinion.

^ 94,95 5.0's are OBDII.
Most likely the heat you are feeling is from your exhaust, as for idle problems go to muscularmustangs.com, in the tech section theres a good article about fixing a surging idle, then you should be all set, and check that plugs, wires, distributor connections are all tight and dry.

Auto Zone wont scan anything older than '96. They only have an OBD2 scanner so that leaves all 5.0's out.

Technically, they aren't OBDII. OBDII came about in 1996 for the Mustangs. However they did have the proper port and were partially compatiable...not 100% though. So you get partial credit
But as far as the original quote.. AutoZone can and has scanned my 95 GT 5.0 with no problems. So I guess you get 3/4 credit

94-95 mustangs are not OBDII. they have the plug for the V6 version of the 94-98 mustang
