i have that same poblem still. i replaced the u-joints and tanny yoke--didnt fix the problem, then i took the driveshaft to have it retubed and balanced and it helped some but now it just does it at a higher speed so ionno it could be something other than the driveshaft.

ok well i know its not the driveshaft .....

i got the rear end used...and they are 4.10's..it has a really bad vibration ...it gets worse the faster you go..
would it be the axle bearings or are there any other bearings anywhere else that it could be?

You know it's not the U joints? Did you swap the whole rear end out or just the gears in the rearend?

same rims? could be off balance in the rims. otherwise it is the u joint or driveshaft/ pinion angle wrong. if it was the gears it would rumble.

if you called the guy you bought the rear end off of and he had the problem, its time to crack open the diff and see whats going on. jack up the back of the car, disconnect the driveshaft, and rotate your axle by hand. look for binding and abnormal wear; Both which are a total long shot, otherwise pinion angle... actually thats all ive got.

do u know how to fix the pinion angle if it is wrong.....and how do you tell if it is wrong?... we opened it up a few days ago before we put it under my car and checked the gears for wear...and they looked fine...turned smoothly and everything looked clean...

Do you have adjustable upper or lower control arms? Lengthing or shortening your rear control arms is the only way to change your pinion angle. I would try changing the position your driveshaft is bolted to your yoke.

Did you put used drums on? Maybe the weights had fallen off. That will cause a vibration.
