My Dirty Girl.....
and my solution? a super-easy, shouldn't-even-be-allowed donut contest where the loser washes the others car.
ok alittle more background info, my friend has a 1990 Mitsu Eclipse GS and swears on his great-great-grandmothers grave that he can do donuts in his FWD non-turbo car the problem is Im never around to see it(go figure[:-]) so I say "ok lets prove it, saturday lets go to the old wal-mart parking lot(abandon due to a Super Wal-mart built behind it)and lets take winiman(friend from HS who thinks hes a big-time film director with a nice video camera ) so he can post it on the web and the loser has to pay for a car wash
yep, gonna get a nice wax too, even though my paint is cracked and burn and chipping [8D]

RE: My Dirty Girl.....
it's impossible to do donuts with a FWD.
Simple physics:
On RWD cars your traction is distributed: front tires for turning and rear for force
FWD the front does both
What ever power you use to spin the wheels, you lose an equal amount of friction for turning, rendering it impossible. And once you light up the front tires on a FWD car, you lose almost all friction towards turning, now it's all changed to power.

Exactly. Oh yah, and that's also why FWD cars have a tendancy to oversteer around corners, forgot about that. Your powering through it, so you lose turning ability. And RWD has a tendancy to understeer because the front tires are devoted 100% to turning, so the rear looses traction when powering through leading to understeer

you got it backwards, understeer=FWD car, oversteer=RWD car
