I didnt read all the details, but i can say for a fact that my carb needs adjustments with about every change of the weather... im getting fairly good at it though...

mainly yes, but you also have to look at the other facts. high performance engines arent made to handle nearly as many miles as 'stock' engine, they also require more maintainence. just the fact that it is a higher compression engine would keep me away from driving it daily. that right there multiplies the amount of stress on the rotating assembly.

haha randy thats funny because i want your exact setup. how i should have worded it: its concerns me because high compression engines put more stress on the rotating assembly. there may not be problems, but it does put greater stress on bearings... etc... etc....
how many miles do you drive weekly randy? had any problems? im just curious because i want to do a 393...

I dont drive my car much, but i wouldnt be worried about doing so... mechanically, carb issues are the only concerns... other than mechanical, gas (usage and price) and no a/c (here in laredo ) probably keeps me from driving it more....
