Default nitrous quest.

is nitrous safe for my car? i have 4:10s, o/r h-pipe, shorty headers, and a CAI. If i got nitrous i would set it no further than 75hp. my car has 105,000 miles. I would probaly use it once every 2 weeks (i want a cheap way to add some hp). what is the best kit wet ot dry and what is the best company. And would i need other new parts to handle this amount of hp?

Nitrous is only harmful if it is done incorrectly. If the fuel mixture is right, the only harm it has is the extra load placed on the engine. Otherwise if it's too lean its like taking a cutting torch to your combustion chamber. Go wet, it allows for more dependable mixture of fuel (see above). You won't be able to go more than 150 safely without upgrading the fuel system, and 150 is a stretch. Go with a 75 or 125 shot. Do it right. Get a bottle heater (keeps the pressure in the bottle constant) and a low fuel pressure cut out switch. You will need to run a colder spark plug and retard the timing 2 deg for every 100 horse shot. These are just some of the basics. keep asking questions (especially specific ones) and you will get good advice because you get the benefit of learning from other's mistakes

1. Yes
2. Bull****.....you will always say...what if I went a little bigger?
3. My car has 120,000 miles and I just took off my 125-150 (depending on weather) and put a supercharger on it.......and then re-installed a 50 shot on it today.....you will be fine with a 75.
4. Nitrous Express and NOS are good companys for wet shots..........Zex from what I have heard is good too........
5. For a 75 shot no..........up the shot and maybe.

everything he said i second. also, all the mods you listed will have nothing to do with nitrious. is this still the stock engine? im going to assume it is even though 105 is kinda low for these cars. and im gonna recommend nitrious express as the company to look into. they make a great product.
