Default Data Logging?

I have a 94 gt and I am interested in doing some data logging. I have searched this forum and the internet and would like to know if there is any way to do data logging without buying 500 bucks worth of equipment like a tweecer or something.

I just helped tune my buddies T-Type last weekend and all he needed was a laptop and cable that connected to his OBD port.

Is there a cheaper way to do this for my car?

Logging the motor or the whole car. I don't go to the track yet, but I will probably start as soon as I upgrade my suspension. I was just wondering if there is a cheaper alternative to data logging than expensive equipment that plugs into your EEC-IV. Is there another data loggging port? I know that the 94 (and i believe 95 as well) is not OBDII compatable, but I thought that there was another on-board diagnostics port rather than capturing signals from sensors to the ECC-IV.

Or... maybe I'm on crack. Like my name suggests, I have always been a VW and Audi guy and this is my first domestic that I have ever owned. I will say that I *am* very impressed.

I bought this car with underdrive pulleys, lowering springs, chip (dunno which kind), 75mm throttle body, cold air induction, MSD ignition, exhaust, wheels + tires, and a host of interior and exterior mods. I have done data logging with my Corrado with someone elses equipment, and want to do it with the stanger without spending a tonne of money.
