Sounds like he might have been doing an intake, too as he talks about a TB...
I'd check your motor mounts, for sure. They should fit fine. Back when Mac came out with their first set of long tubes (I know you're putting on shorty headers), they used to cause the steering shaft to lock up and you had the 'clearance' them with a hammer, but yours should just drop in.
Take a look at a fan blade on your clutch fan -- if you can see the edge part that's in the shroud is lower than the tip of the edge that is protruding out of the shroud, then you probably need a set of motor mounts. I've seen a fan have a 1/4" taken off of it due to bad motor mounts.

yah im doing upper and lower intake, along with injectors and 76 mass air meter. i ended up putting stock headers back on and saying f-it. as for the bolt 6 hours oh taps, drills, and bolt extractors....nothing.
