6k isn't enough money to get 600hp, and 600hp will last maybe 1 pass down the 1/4th before you split the block in two.

Spend your money on suspension, tires, gears, exhaust, h/c/i, and nitrous.

ic, so i should go at it by buying a turbo, new cams, new heads, and a full exhaust so i can get some sound....could someone let me know a guesstament as of how much $ that would cost/how much HP that would put it at? (thanks for all the help guys!)

+ tranny/clutch too... but i will get that found and all myself....

would the rear end be able to hold all that power?
Cam... singular, the 5.0 is a pushrod motor, so one cam only.

This is true, you will definately be in the 11s with the right parts.

Unless the turbo kit comes w/ all the fuel upgrades you will need, that will be all you can afford.

I also agree about the power of the block. If you go twin turbo and then want to add H/C/I and bolt ons later, you will greatly exceed the limitations of the stock block.

I would look at using the 6k to get a 331-347 stroker motor and H/C/I. That and the bolt-ons and exhaust will put you close enough to your goals for now to keep you happy. Then save up for the Blowzilla and suspension stuff.

If i can reach 11's with suspension, tires, gears, exhaust h/c/i and nitrous i would much rather go that route. I would just need to know what the parts gave best gains and whatnot. But i'm sure i will learn more and more about the parts as i go through the process.

That kit did have the fuel upgrades i believe, it was 4500 but i'd have to get heads and i think thats all but i would add on. I would rather go the bolt on route. But it will probably end up being more expensive. I have time to think about it all, i'm just trying to get oppinions right now, I think i'm going to keep the 302 in it just becuase of the whole taking out the motor and replacing it pain in the butt.

What would be the best suspension upgrades if i was trying to get the power to the ground in dragracing.

look at some drag springs and Lakewood shocks. I've heard the front springs from a 4-banger stang are good if you're on a budget. Your suspension setup and tires will absolutely be the most important things in getting the times you want.
