engine help.
i had to replace my original 88 motor with another when the engine started ticking after a highspeed run. the new engine runs great but i still decided to figure out what went wrong with the original motor and if its worth fixing and throwing a hci onto. when i recieved the car the oil pressure always seemed weak (new motor is much better). when originally diagnosing the problem (engine still in the car) i tryed a couple thing to figure out the problem and i found when i pulled the passanger back cylinder wire that the engine would stop making noise unless it was reved up a bit. after this i pulled the valve cover to see if the rocker was knocking a little more
on the pass back cylinder, and it didnt seem different then the rest so i ruled that out. i just ripped the motor apart finally (been outta the car for about 2 months) and took a look at it. i pulled the upper/lower intake, the passanger side cylinder head, and the oil pan to see if i could find any noticable problems with the engine(no bent pushrods or nothing.i havent been able to find anything, but at the same time i dont really know what to look for. i have a few pictures i snapped of the motor and im hoping you guys would be able to set me in the right direction. if i need any additional photos let me know. thanks

Resize your pics for e-mail.
I see no reason why you can't build a good spare out of what you have.
Trash the cam, lifters, pushrods, rocker arms, and oil pump. Start over fresh.
I'd just put the thing up somewhere dry and forget about it. Some day you might need it.
