Get a Vortech SC-Trim and upgrade the pulley. Right under 2000 bucks, and you will be over 6-9 lbs at least.
Get it here its where I got mine. http://jdsperformance.com/index.asp?...tem&inmake=all

I have the Powerdyne......it gave me 90 horsepower on 6 psi of boost. Powerdyne's are very quiet and they come with a 3 year warrnanty. I like the thing. However if I could go back again I would get the Novi 1000. But I like my Powerdyne.

Some people get lucky and some people dont... but the thing I dont understand is why people even buy them if they heard about the horror stories. You can buy a similar blower setup for maybe a hundred bucks more... if your buying a blower a hundred extra dollars is not going to kill you so why take the chance? I am not saying that their not goog units because there are many people who run them with no problems but on the other hand I have prob heard more bad things than good about them....
So my question is... why take the chance?

They are pretty much the same blower. Both are great and very realiable from what I have heard. I have really never heard horror stories about either of them. They are both 5-6 psi entry level superchargers that run about the same. I believe the Novi is like 100 cheaper or something like that. Theres one thing though, Im not exactally sure what it is but I know that with a SC trim you cannot change the crank pulley without voiding the warranty and with a Novi you can.... so Im going Novi 1000. You can pull 14 psi out of either one of them with a powerpipe, blower pulley and crank pulley.

No not too shabby at all! For anything on the street its more than enough... especially on a 5.0.
The Paxton and Vortech are basically the same kit but for some reason if you put a crank pulley on a Vortech it voids the warranty... something about it being 6 ribbed and aftermarket crank pulleys being 8 ribbed.... I think [&:]

Similair blowers. I would go with Vortech because of the warranty, bigger after market IE: after cooler, Pulleys, pipes, valves ect.
The SC trim is the same as the S trim just in a 6 rib design. Would could even send it back to vortech and have them rebuild it into A S trim for 300 bucks and would still be under warranty.

Is the Vortech warranty better than the Paxton warranty? When you sent the blower into to be rebuilt does it establish a new warranty? Where is a good place to look at the aftermarket for the vortech blower? Can you pick whatever blower pulley you want when you send it in to be changed to the S trim?
