how do you remove the lens on the headlight?

anybody? im trying to do this tonight(i no its almost 12am, but hey, its the only free time i have lol), but just looking for some input and advice on how to go about it.

wouldnt bother, for like $50-70 you can buy new headlight lens, comes with sidemarkers & parking lights also from 50resto.com i just bough the kit that came with adjusting plates & the new rubbers since one of mine were dry rotted.

well unless you wanna hook me up w. the 50-70 im gonna have to bother. theres also no point in buying something right now, im just doing this to get them to pass inspection. and in a little while im going to get new ones anyway, this is a "just for now" fix.

The clear lens wont come off. Its molded to the gray peice. You can take the clear/gray assembly out by removing three clips. You have to unbolt it from the header panel then unclip the lens from the black peice. You might have to remove or loosen the park and corner lights.

damn that sucks... the driver side one has water in it, and is dirty inside, i was hoping to just be able to clean this up for now to pass inspetion... anything else i can do to clean that up if i cant get the lens off?

park the car in the sun in the middle of july, the lens will come off easy. there not supposed to but there only glued on. if you heat around the edges with a heat gun it should come off kinda easy.

if it were only july, lol... need a quick fix. but maybe ill just try to heat them up and see what happens. i think im just going to buy the clear set from 50resto for like 80 bucks.

if theyre glued together put them in the oven at 200 degrees for like 5mins and pull them apart.
