Default went to track tonight, kinda depressing...

well me and my buddy hit up the track tonight, i didnt run my car, just went to watch. and well it was both depressing and inspiring. depressing because the car that i thought was fast(my stock 5.0) isnt shyt compared to so much other stuff there, and inspiring because i saw so many mustangs running good times. so here is where the question comes in... whats it gonna take to run a 13.5, and roughly how much $, roughly.(this is going to be my first goal, but not my last), i am open to anything besides nitrous. thanks guys

go suspension first bro. and maybe a header back exhaust. start with subframes, lower control arms and some really nice tires

AAwww, he's scared of the nitrous!!!!!!! Come on man. Spray that thing.
You should be able to run a 13.5 with not much at all. Take the timing to 14*, get some sticky tires (DRs or slicks), u/l control arms, springs, remove some weight, and drive it like you stole it. Those speed density cars are pretty stout.

do yourself a complete exhaust starting with headers, timing, GEARS good tires, pullies and a CAI and you should be not that far!

Since you want to take the twisties, go with some adjustable shocks and struts. Strange, QA1, etc. So some control arms and a decent spring. Remove the front sway bar at the track for some added weight transfer.
