RE: cold air int
Just so you don't go offending anyone on here or elsewhere with a real cobra, you don't have a real Cobra, those were made only in the year 1993. I'm guessing you live in canada or somewhere close to the border in the states right? For some reason the canadian GT's have cobra tagged on the end for whatever reason, but just know that your's a regular GT.
As for the Cold air indution, any one will do fine, I personally have a BBK Fenderwell one, I like it alot, looks nice even tho its all ratty and old (bought it used off ebay) There is also a MAC brand intake, people say they like it but quality isn't so great or it doesn't fit the best etc.
There's 2 versions one for mass air and one for speed density. Make sure and get the right one.
Since you have an 87, you're probably a speed density car and you'll need the speed density kit. For an alternative if you plan on really putting in some nice "go-fast" parts, I would suggest buying a mass air conversion kit, (which then you need the mass air version of the cold air kit). Mass air actually meters the incoming air and adjusts fuel and whatnot to the air coming in. Speed density measures air with a BAP sensor (something like that) and isn't as mod friendly so people say, but some swear by it.
Mine is an 88 GT that I converted to mass air, the conversion is real easy to do. They sell a kit for it, but it's pretty spendy, basically consists of a mass air meter, computer and wiring harness piggyback to go between the 2.

your not getting flamed we are just making fun of the AEM intakes, seriously though, the MAC intakes dont fit very well, i dont really care for mine, BBK is excellent quality and fit, the ebay intakes are junk in my opinion, i'd get a fenderwell mount if you can, it'll clean up the engine bay and give you more room as well as take in more air.... good luck with your decision, and dont mind scout he's only trying ot help you from getting flamed in the future ... cause some guys will be dicks 2 u regardless.

Travis -- stick around...sorry if you were offended!
Has anyone tried the JLT True Cold Air kit on their fox? They make 'em for the Fox body cars...I have one here but I don't have a car to try it out on (They all have either blowers or turbos).
