if i remember corectly, they got lighter by a few pounds evry restyle, thanks to aluminum heads and a plastic intake in 96, then some suspension stuff in 99, but then mustangs gained about 150lbs with the 05 re-stlye. the 05s do have a better wheight ratio than the older stangs.

about 3300lbs to 3600 for GT's and then about 3500- 3600 for the new 05's. cool thing about the new 05 and up mustangs is that the convertables dont whiegh to much more than the coups now, thanks to better chassis and frame construction.

foxes were 2800-3100, sn-95's were 3400-3600, 99+ 3750-3850, current cars are 3880 - 4200.

Those weights are a bit low. My 89 weighs 2911. I had a 95 Convert and it weighed 3570. The 99-04 weighed about the same, and the 05+ weigh about 150lbs more, so id put them around 3750-3800. Although as previously stated the weight distribution is a lot better.

got my numbers from car and driver mag....figure they are close to right....i weighed my gt at the track with subs and a spare tire and some other ****....with me in it it was 3550....i weigh about 150 so i figure without me and subs which weigh 100 its about 3300 with fluids and a full tank....so maybe around 3070 is acurate....idk

Well riddle me this...do you drive your mustang without fluids? Didn't think so. You have to include that in your total weight. Once I get back from my deployment I'll have to go weigh my 4 eyes on the grain truck scales...I weighed my truck and it is 7200 with me and one tank full, one tank empty with nothing in the bed and nothing in the cab that would add any noticeable weight.[&:] Diesels are definitely not light, but it's funny beatin ricers off the line (up til about 45 or so) and covering them in black soot.
