Size matters??

Size matters??
Hey all, I've got a question that everyone seems to have their own opinions. If any of you have already done this let me know your results. I just built a 306 for my stang, (mass air car) it runs good and makes plenty of power, but seems like it's restrictive on the fuel/air to make more power. I'm running 19lb. injectors with all the stock throttle body and fuel pump items. The motor has an e303 cam with worked cobra heads. Would anyone suggest I bump it up to 65 or 70 mm throttle body and 24lb injectors? If so how many lph pump do I have to buy to support 24lb injectors? The only maf sensors I see are like 70 up so do I buy one of those for the 65mm throttle body? I drive the car everyday so I don't want to overkill it on the fuel. Any suggestions from someone who has done this from experience would be greatly appreciated. My thoughts were to go 24lb injectors, 70 maf sensor, 65mm throttle body, and I'm not sure on the lph pump I need. If this stuff really wouldn't help, let me know and I will invest the money elsewhere that I might need it.

first thing is to buy the biggest maf you can..try it first..then go to a 65mm T/B.. also put the air filter in the fenderwell...then buy a 190lph fuel pump and new filter..the 19's are ok I'd say they would be the last thing to change

So from what I understand, rule of thumb is to always go bigger on your maf sensor than what you run on your throttle body size? and it should be ok. a 70 to 75mm throttle body is plenty big enough, and the stock 19's should supply enough fuel for the upgrade, but I will want to go to a larger lph fuel pump. Does that sound about right?

RE: Size matters??
yes....a 190 is a good size pump as the stock 88 is a weak pump and has been prone to lean the engine out of 4500rpm...I did a pump change on my 89 and gain 25hp on the top end as it was starving for fuel

If your going to get a mass air meter(for your car 75mm),i would also get the 24lb injectors. when you add more hopups(and you will)you will be that much farther in your fuel upgrades, besides that--if you bought the meter calibrated for 19lb and your new additions required bigger injectors, you will have to send the meter out to be recalibrated in turn will cost somewhere around $100.00 or so.
Also make sure you have an adjustable fuel regulator.
As far as the rest of your parts questions.(and we've all done it.)
go with the,
65mm throttle body
190lph pump
75mm meter
adjustable fuel regulator
(change your fuel filter at this time)
Good luck with your mods!!
