So I have had mine for like 5 weeks now. I love how quiet it is and it was pretty efficent. 90 rwhp on 6 pounds of boost. Not bad. However the Powerdyne Supercharger lost it battle with the Ford 5.0.

I live 2 hours from Vegas....so I took the Mustang to Vegas. When I got there the blower was alittle louder then normal. Not a problem. I drove home last night...and after I went to go see my friend, I tromped on it.

The impellers blew to peices, and killed the blower. Not a problem right? I have the warranty and all that good stuff. However, something get into the throttle body and now I have a horrible rod knock. So Wed I am pulling the motor. I am going to have Powerdyne rebuild the blower, and then it is time to step up to a turbo.

I know, I know........You told me so!!!!!!

UPDATE: The damage also extened to the tranny. It cracked the bellhousing and broke the throw out bearing retainer!!!!!

O man, that sucks. Shoulda gona Novi 1000... Well, at least now you have a reason to step it up to turbo.

thtas so much work. youd need my engine management system too to run it. if i stick my motor in your car you wont ever see your car again.

WTF SSKiller? And here I've been saying you had one of the good units! If you recall, I've been saying that you and a guy up here in Maine are the only two people I knew that had good luck with Powerdynes. he hasn't had a problem and you never had a problem so I figured there were some good units out there. But now I'm officially off the fence, so to speak.

Before I was willing to say (and did say) that if you like to gamble, then you may get lucky with them. But now that I've lost 50% of my success stories, I guess I have to officially say to stay away from them. Now I guess it's just a matter of time before the guy up here kills his. Guess he has been REAL lucky so far.

Sam....i like to gamble...it did get "hurt" in Vegas of all places.

After seeing all these turbo cars.............it is time to step up and make a turbo kit......
