Default fuel pumps?

[&:] I need a new fuel pump. Can a guy just put on an external high flow pump and leave the stock in tank pump as is to work in unison with the external pump? Looking for around 450 hp, thanks DL.

They are pretty easy to install provided the tank is on the low side.
You would be better off to put a 255 lph pump inside the tank and be done with it.

you could, but it woudlnt be necesarry with 450hp. most of the gas would just end up back in the return line. ide say just get a 255 intank pump.

Changing the fuel pump(by yourself)in your driveway with it on jackstands should take you about 45min to an hour.
And yes,it's easier than messing with your fuel lines--think rust.(it's the right way to do it.)

Your right!
If he does'nt have a lot of mechanical know how, he should get a friend that does, to help him.
I'm just saying that replacing the pump would be better.
Plus he would gain some knowledge about the system.
No disrespect Mustangeasy
