Well before today my car was running decent but it was rich. Today I start it to make the vids and its running very rough. Keeps trying to stall and when I give it throttle it sounds like ****. I am in the process of putting the vids up. Will have them up and going very soon. Hope someone has an idea of whats wrong. If I have to spend 500+ to fix it thats fine. I just want it fixed. I would rather do it myself so I don't have to worry about some jacka$$ at a shop tearing my car up. any input is greatly appreciated.

Here is a vid of my car on a cold start and idle. Video isn't the best quality but its good enough so u know how its running. Any advice on why its running so poor all the sudden. Oh and the car is on jackstands cause I am replacing all 4 tires and I took the turndowns off so the exhaust would be pushed out of the garage during my "testing".

I have been thinking. My car is Speed Density right now. Would maybe changing the computer and converting it to a MAF system possibly help this problem? From what I understand is that this car has had alot of fuel control problems. Could it all be caused by the computer?

Hey Grabb do u really think it might be a collapsed lifter? Whats the best way to tell besides taking them out and checking them?

Haven't done a compression test but I have a buddy of mine that has all the tools and gauges to do it. I will see if I can get them from him and do the compression test. If it is a lifter(s) would it be best to get a lifter/cam set? If so what would be some good options? I was looking at the E303 but it says it doesn't work with Speed Density systems. Which would be better Hydraulic lifters or solid lifters? Roller or flat tappet? Thanks for your time.

You do have the fuel pressure regulator plugged into full manifold vaccum right? I know the egr and fpr are easy to mix up. A friend of mine did that once when istalling a new intake and it sounded like we changed the cam, it also ran real rich (burned the eyes come to think of it). When you revved it up, it sounds like it was missing to me. It could just be the sound from the video. If a cylinder isn't firing that could be why you are seeing smoke.
