Default Tweecer RT Install???

How in the hell do you install one of these things, I mean, I've messed around with tuners before, but those were plug and plays, this thing connects directly to the ECU. My other questions are: Where exactly is the ECU located, pics would be nice, how exactly do you install the tuner, and is there anything else concerning installation that I should be aware of?

Welcome to the TwEECer world.

From what I remember the Tweecer module plugs into the EEC. Then route the USB up to the laptop, and put the switch somewhere handy. I left mine loose in the glove box, but you could mount it somewhere.

For all the details on getting setup, download the tweecer Manual. It gets pretty hoky after the basic tuning stuff, but the setup stuff is dead on.

The EEC should be located behind the passenger kick panel.

Let me know if you have more questions.
I'd be glad to help.

if you dont know how to remove a plastic kick panel that only has one clip holding it in place.... maybe you should have your car professionally tuned

I know very well how to tune as I tuned my old sixer to perfection without a dyno and when it was put on the dyno they said it was perfectly tuned. No I just asked that question because I know some Ford pannel parts are very easy to break and or require some pain in the *** way to get them off.

They won't be that bad, but it can be tricky the first time you pull them.
I guess some folks forget what it's like to not know all the answers

I have a fox, so I am not sure exactly how your panel attaches.
Just tug lightly until you can feel where the push pins are.
I doubt there are any screws in the panel???

The fox computer is in the same place; behind the pass kick panel.

550 or 575 for the RT, which allows datalogging. Shell out the bucks for the RT. It will make things much easier.

The only wiring you do is for the usb cable that runs between the chip and the laptop, and the tune selection switch (also plugs into the chip).

You don't have to touch the factory harness.
