ORIGINAL: onebadrottie

i don't like the notch for some reason i would with out a doubt want the gt, even though they weight a little more, i just can decide on a 99+ or a 05+

i like the notch but prefer the gt for the looks although its heavier but i dont care. but id love to have a clean notch too

99+ just something about them but an 05 up with the eleanor package is hard to beat in the looks dept.

so how do these compare with the 4.6 3v and 4v
can they compete with them after some mods?

Mainly because I've wanted one ever since I was 15 (late 80's), but couldn't afford one. I've always loved the way 5.0s sound. Also, I just like the look of them, and the hard-charging acceleration that some of them have. I say some of them because I've driven some that were faster than others, even though they were stock.

easily, we have a weight advantage and we've got about the same torque.

check out my mod list in my link in my sig.... my car is alot quicker then my friends 01 gt.and his car is geared lower then mine i have the stock 3.08 to his stock 3.55. true he could put money in his to handle my car but if i put heads, cam and 3.73 gear he would have a long way and alot of money to spend to catch up to me and even then i throw a supercharger on ... you get the point....

5.0s are the best bang for the buck cars, period. Before I got it I was going to build up an ek hatch, but then I realized that they cost too much money. That and I think they are the best sounding cars ever made. Even most Chevy guys will agree with that.
