As was stated, idexing plugs on a stock or lightly modded ebgine will get you nothing and is not worth the effort. On a true race engine yes, but on a regular street motor no.

Well hey, it's a common thing to index spark plugs. It's all about getting the most power out of your setup. $15 for a set of shims is a cheap 5-10 horsepower.

based on what experience...... if u optimize the burn y is it not possible to pull 5hps from it..... an aftermarket coil is supposed to optimize burn. and that gives power... so i call bs on ur statement

The only reason that I index my plugs on my drag truck is to keep the piston from slapping the plug close. This is a common practice with large dome pistons and milled heads.

I have also heard of people testing with trying to get the spark plug gap to face the intake valve for more power. I could see all of the above spark plug gap information true. Because the spark will take the path of least resistance and the radius bend technique is probably trying to control the spark. Thus lowering your plug life due to the resistance built up in that one spot it fires from. This will give you a balanced flame front through every piston cylinder. But then you need a perfectly ported intake to have a balance in air flow. So yeah I could see it working on the more modified engine but hell discuss this to your girlfriend for brownie points. Be like babe I know all the spark plugs techniques and she will think "Damn I'm in love with a genius." LOL

someone previously mentioned a lightly modded stang. which is h/c/i in some cases, and well heads h/c/i do cramm alot more air in the cylinder

An H/C/I mustang is not a lightly modded mustang. A cold air intake and exhaust is considered lightly modded.
