Cobra vs Trick Flow

RE: Cobra vs Trick Flow
so is getting a better manifold better for higher RPM power? Or is it allowing more air through the engine for more power? i guess i am confused on what these manifolds will do for me. thanks again to everyone

You will be better off getting gears for your car instead of an intake. The trickflow street heat seems to be your best bet. Mostly stock 5.0 motors aren't going to make power at 6K, so you wouldn't need the track heat from trickflow. just my 2 bits.

I couldn't feel the difference in my intake manifold before 2500 rpms, after it hit around 2500 rpms at WOT you could really feel it all the way up to about 5100-5200 rpms (where I shift). It performs and looks great for $300, I got mine in perfect condition, but used, from Blacksnake.

The street heat is designed to make power up to 5500 rpm. The track is like 6000 or 6500, and the R-series is around 7000. Most 5.0's make maximum power around 5200rpm. It would be pontless to get a manifold designed for a rpm that you dont make a lot of power at. You should really go for gears before you get an intake though. Id reccomed 4.10's and get Ford Racing ones.

RE: Cobra vs Trick Flow
it all depends on how u build ur motor when i get my tuned i will be shifting at 6500. right now untuned i shift at 6 and she is still pulling so it all depends on ur set up
