I know exactly what you're talking about.

I had problems with my BBK CAI too. The instructions were crap and doing the fender mount correctly took me about a half hour. The last part of the install is definitely a two man job and I DREAD the day I have to replace the filter. For a company the size of BBK, I'd be embarrassed to put out instructions like that.

The grommet should be in the package and it does fit, but snuggly. btw, the unit is well built and worth the money. Stick with it though.
