I have a feeling when its time to trade in the truck, I might pick up one of the ss's. Anything thats made nowadays that runs under 15's with all the EPA sh*t they need to have is alright by me. Not to mention that you can run 14.3 with a warranty.

RE: wtf cobalt ss?
they are too heavy for those little engines in my opinion, they're bulky i think, aren't they over 2800lbs? i hear their weight distribution is rubbish
"At nearly 3,000 pounds the Chevrolet Cobalt SS isn't light either, and it feels heavy on the road. Plus its acceleration is tempered by those big, heavy (25 pounds each) wheels." -edmunds

They are quick. I have driven one before.
But the thing is unless they get you from a rolling punch there is no way they can keep traction. Front wheel drive is going to kill them.
If they mod it...then they will just roast the tires longer than they do now.
So if you race one...always go from a dead stop.

I raced one a while back, he had an intake, exhaust, and some other stuff. From a 3rd gear roll, he got a jump, i started pulling, and just as i got next to him, we were both about to grab 4th, i heard his car knock, and it threw a rod.
I guess the factory fuel pump isnt really sufficient for a modded car.
