I believe that white smoke is oil burning. How would that be your head gaskets?

If you're sure that it's steam, rather than smoke, it probably is a head gasket. If you have a compression gauge, check each cylinder when you get home tonight. This will tell you for sure.

If it's as much smoke as he says it is, it will be blue if it's oil.

If the compression in one or more cylinders (probably two) is drastically lower than all the rest, it's probably head gaskets.

here's the rule.......blue oil........white water........black/grey fuel

in the morning was it cold out?....by just looking at it,and giving the reply " you blew a hg" is retupid!....you need to do some investigation before taking the word from a jimmy crack corn autoshop teacher...come on he should know better than that.
