This isnt my car but my buddies that I helped build. It runs in the 11's. 12.50's with the a/c on. Anyway, heres his setup, old school TFS cast iron high port heads (1.96 valve). Victor jr. intake, hollley 750 carb. Mac equal length headers, off road H-pipe, 3 chameber flows (50 series), UDP (crank only), 3.55 gear. His cam is a custom grind (forgot the specs), hes also runnin the 1.72 rockers. I believe he had his intake port matched to the heads, he also milled the heads and intake to bump his compression to 11.5:1.
Mind you this is an 1985 GT T-top with full interior and about a 150lb stereo in the trunk. T-tops are the 2nd heaviest model. Only the vert weighs more.

Honestly, I don't know what combo set up I want or if should swap the motor to an LS1. Yeah, I know it's a GM motor but I'm big fan of 5.0's and LS1's. This is my last project so I need to make it worth it but I don't want to spend crazy money on it cause my biggest fear is to spend alot of money then blow my motor out. I rather spend some good money on it and if I blow out the motor I wo't feel like shooting my self.
Basically my plan is to get as much as I can from the motor and then some juice. I like the 302 but every time I wanna to do something to it I hear something new or this is bad and that's good or I need to get a dart block cause it will crack. Looking for a street car in the 11's and a highway beast too. Also curious to know people set up that got them in the 12's and under on N/A.
