snapped clutch cable..
i drive an 89 mustang gt hatchback n recently i jus snapped my clutch cable right at hampton beach ( how embassrassing) i was wondering if any 1 new if does damage to ur tranny if u frove the cable till it broke... for about 5oo miles i drove it while it was fraying... and after the last 60 miles i had to almost force the stick into its gears... i dont know if the tranny went due to the cable not engaging and disengaging the clutch all the way or if it even did damage at all.. if i do need to replace my clutch and tranny wut would one recommend for a pro clutch and tranny.... currently i have a king cobra clutch and a tremec 5 spd<edited><editID>primo196</editID><editDate>37808.013587963</editDate></edited>
wel i would have everything checked out because if the clutch wasnt engaging thats not good. i would go with the bbk clutch quadrant with adjustable cable. and get a ford racing clutch if its burned.
that will put some abuse on your synchros at least . throw some new ones on there if its out , do a visual an see what they look like . wont tell u every thing . but if there nasty you should maybe see some thing
