That will depend a lot on what other mods you make and where you set the timing at. For maximum performance, you would need to run the highest octane you can get but that's all up to you. I would start with the timing at the stock setting and see how it does with the 87 octane but be ready to put in some higher octane if it pings and knocks under load.

try www.homcombmotorsports.com for the heads. their prices are often lower than a lot of other places I've seen. You can run any cam and rockers you like provided you check the piston to valve clearance so that you don't run into a problem at the higher lift. Each engine is unique and you should check this even though some people will tell you that a certain combination is OK, it is still good insurance to check it for yourself to be damn sure you have sufficient clearance before you attempt to run the engine.

In Holcomb's printed catalog the AFR heads on are page 110. they show three parts numbers for the AFR 165 heads.
58CC Stud mount AFR 1402 $1,349.00 per set
60CC Pedestal mount AFR 1472 $1,349 per set
61CC Stud mount AFR1400 $1,349 per set.
You can also try them at 1-800-475-7223 if you can't get the website to show you these part numbers.

you have a choice of two heads with different size combustion chambers that accept stud mounted rocker arms and one head that takes the stock pedestal mounted type rocker arms. the different size CC will yield different compression ratios. stud mounted rocker arms are stronger as the studs are larger in diameter than the bolts used on the pedestal mounted style heads. hardened push rods are required with the stud mounted heads. intake valve is 1.90" and exhaust is 1.60" on all three heads. 1.460" OD hydraulic valve springs 120 lbs. on seat, .550" max lift
