im going to carb the 5.0,

do i need the computer for anything like the srs, etc.?

SRS and ABS (if you also have it)....are different modules/computers.......nope, yo don't need it.

You dont even need that, as long as it has the ignition module mounted to the side of it, itll work just fine.

YAY!!!!!!! CARBURETION ROCKS!!!!! COMPUTERS MAKE CARS BREAK DOWN. ECU Says" O now, he hit the gas pedal, what do i do first, Change gear, Add fuel, let more air in, IM SO CONFUSED, Ill just Burn out an 02 sensor, cause i dont knwop if the air comign in, is equal to ther air going oyt, PLEASE HELP, BING *CHECK ENGINE*, no really just sit there, and check it out, real nice, huh, i tell you somthign is wrong, but i never tell ya what HEHEHE MY LITTLE TRICK ) I LOVE CARBS!!!!!!

dam, lol , ive taken out computers, sold them and installed carbed intakes complete with carb on them , and dizzy(and power wire ign on), disconnect fuel pump harness and instal a low line pump, all which can be had for less than $80 used at pick and pull yards.

On fuel lines, I use my flaring tool kit and I new piece of brake line with fittings($4.00advanced auto parts), but you can use 1/4 inrubber line and two clamps ,( preferrably SILICONE, that way it never burst while driving and cause a fire) $3<


as a tech i got to admit, thats the truth. You break down, its your fuel pump ,spark plugs, dizzy carb, alternator, ignition switch or battery. Nothing that cant be figured out in 5 minutes or less.
