I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for a good head/cam combo for a stock 90 GT that would make some good power. I'm not looking for anything too radical because it will still be my daily driver. I would prefer smog-legal just so I dont have to worry about it when the smog check comes(gotta love california emissions laws). My future plans for the car after the head/cam will be a supercharger and the other necessary bolt-on mods. I have a set of 1968 302 heads with 2.02intake/1.60exhuast that were previously in my falcon, how would those do bolted on my Mustang in regards to smog? Thanks for any help in advance.

 

Don't think the heads would do for smog as they don't have the EGR features that the newer heads have. The AFR 165 heads with the 1.90" intake and 1.60" exhaust valves would be a good set of heads along with the Ford E303 cam.

 

i'd say the older heads wouldn't be smog legal comprression ratio would be up over 10.1 run trickflow heads and a b303 cam or stage 1 trickflow cam not for sure this will pass smog test either would be close depends on everything else done

 

I agree a single pattern is the way to go to get by the sniffer...buying a pms or tweecer will help with emmisions
