Default Tranny not wanting to shift

So my 94 gt auto has been parked for a few months. Now it seems that once it warms up, the tranny is slipping between both first and second and secong and third. Checked the fluid level and it's fine. If i used the the shifter between gears, it will change fine. I'm looking for any sugestions before i have some one tear into it for big bucks. Fluid was changed about 6 months ago.
Thanks for any help

When you changed the fluid, how bad was it? Also, did you change the fluid or did you flush it?

I think the fluid was pretty nasty when it was changed. I had the local lube place do it and i think they did a flush.
Last night i tried some Lucas Oil conditioner. It actully helped the shifting between 2nd and 3rd....but 1st to 2nd has bad slippin.
I'm going to check my vacuum lines to the modulator this weekend.

i had somewhat the same issue it wasn't shifting into 4th tho. and it would begind to jerk alot ( i have automatic trans) but it felt like i was shifting heavily using a manual or something. i got it fixed by the mechanic but now it opened a whole new issue of problems for my car b/c they say they fixed the transmission problem of shifting into fourth gear or overdrive without touching the transmission... and somehow it began to leak transmission fluid. of course the ford dealership did it and ****ed it up and wouldn't admit to screwing up. so i brought it to another mechanic and they were able to pin point where they ****ed up... im just bout had it with my car . its running well now but i only had the car for a year now and its rediculous that my stang goes through more issues than my dad's stang n he's had it for 6 years now
